Just Peachy

True to my southern roots, I am a huge fan of iced tea, sweet of course. It’s not just one of those drinks we enjoy on a hot summer day, nope we enjoy it year round. These humid southern summers make us grow to appreciate our iced tea more and more with each sip.

All that freshly brewed iced tea I grew up drinking quickly spoiled me from any of those pre-mixed, store bought teas. That is until at a friend’s house recently where I found myself parched and seriously in need of something cool and thirst quenching. When said friend offered up some iced tea I of course jumped at the offer, only to find myself quickly disappointed when she pulled out a big ol jug of Arizona peach tea from the fridge. Not wanting to seem rude or picky, I kept quiet about my dislike for pre-made teas, and my lack of fondness for iced tea flavored with anything other than sugar and lemon. But I’m willing to try many things once. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor, although it doesn’t have the flavor of any of the home brewed iced tea I’m accustom to, it’s very good. The biggest surprise of all for me - the tea I was sampling was diet.

The peach flavor adds a nice fruity freshness perfect for summer, and the tea itself is a great thirst quencher you can feel good about drinking because you’re not loading yourself down with all the sugar and calories found in the typical good ol southern iced tea.
