Nothing Beats Free Beans
Before I start let me preface this by saying that I realize to many coffee drinkers instant coffee is in a category all by itself, to many it is a non-coffee. To some coffee drinkers if it isn’t brewed right here, right now they aren’t drinking it. Okay, I can accept that, to each their own right?
I love coffee. It isn’t something I drink to feed an addiction, or because I wake up so early my brain doesn’t function without the stimulation of a caffeine jolt. So when there is coffee involved somehow my ears perk, my tastebuds get excited.
Whether it’s a blend or origin I haven’t sampled before or it’s a coffee flavored something or other, I’m game to try it out. So when I saw an ad recently for several different varieties of Nescafe Tasters Choice instant coffees I wasn’t familiar with I had to go to the website and check it out. I definitely had my curiosity raised by the “100% Colombian” which is a medium intensity roast of Arabica beans.
The Taster’s Choice website offers site visitors a chance to sample their products for free by filling out a short survey. So I registered and took a short and easy survey about my use of their products, and provided them with my mailing address. I was expecting a tiny single serving packet of one of the Taster’s Choice coffees along with maybe a coupon for an in store purchase. Well, I received my samples in the mail recently and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the rather generous amount of samples. And the best part? I found the packaging to be adorable!
The verdict? Nothing beats free beans, even if you are a skeptic when it comes to instant coffee. You never know when you might just find a product to enjoy that you’ve been overlooking. Or at the very least, something to hold you over in emergency situations, such as when you can’t make it to the coffee house down the street or you’re somehow completely out of coffee beans.
