Cruising for Coffee
I am not a boat person. And, although I travel a lot, I’ve never really pictured myself on a cruise. Until last night, when I stumbled upon this sweet looking cruise package: Coffee Cruises! You spend 8 days cruising the Mexican Peninsula, seeing sites and learning all about coffee from cupping to optional excursions to visit working coffee farms. The cruises currently occur just once a year, with the last one in February stopping in ports such as Acapulco, Zihuatenejo, Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. Next year’s cruise is March 10th through 18th, 2007 and hits Costa Maya (Mexico), Puerto Santo Tomas de Castilla (Guatemala), Belize City (Belize) and Cozumel (Mexico) before returning to it’s New Orleans hub. The cruise costs between $900 and $1300 per person, depending on cabin choice.
While March of next year still seems like a long time away, it’s not to early to start planning!
