Now That’s A BrewStation

Have you ever broken the carafe to your coffee maker while washing it and wished to yourself that you didn’t have to deal with that stupid pot in order to have your daily coffee? Or if you’re a klutz like me, maybe you’ve repeatedly burned your hand on the heating plate. Well I’ve found the perfect coffee maker that will prevent you from doing those things. But you don’t need to be accident prone to go for this coffee maker.

BrewStation DeluxeThe BrewStation Deluxe by Hamilton Beach is a 12 cup coffee maker with one-hand dispensing. There’s no carafe, no heating plate to give your coffee that scorched flavor it sometimes gets after it’s been sitting for a bit (or to burn your hand on). You don’t have to worry about pouring or spills. With the one-hand dispensing the coffee goes right from the coffee maker into your cup, and can even accommodate your travel mug. The BrewStation brews hot or cold coffee with four brew modes: normal, decaf, flavor and 1 to 4 cups. The machine has a gentle warming heater with adjustable auto shutoff and a programmable clock/timer. There is also a permanent gold tone filter, and an indicator letting you know when to change the water filter.

And to boot, the BrewStation Deluxe is a sleek, and pretty darn stylish machine. What coffee lover could pass all that up? I priced the machine at Bed Bath and Beyond at a price of $79.95.

My wife uses a less high-falutin’ model, similar to this one. They’re nice, but after a while hers developed a tendency to drip from the dispenser nozzle. Not sure if that is normal or not.

DO pass it up! We had an earlier version of this, and one day it just completely QUIT for no reason. Apparently this is not an uncommon problem with Hamilton Beach coffee makers…

Well, atleast the BrewStation looks snazzy right? Thanks for your feedback Jennifer & Bill. With new products I always like knowing what others think. Sometimes products seem great at first, when they’re new and you’re impressed, but they either don’t hold up well, or the new wears off and you see the product for what it really is, and sometimes that’s junk.

I thought the BrewStation seemed pretty promising though…
