Put This In Your Wok and Fry It

On a recent virtual shopping trip, I visited The Republic of Tea website and found a new must-try tea product - tea oil. The oil is produced when the seeds of the Camellia(tea plant) are cold-pressed resulting in a healthful extra-virgin gourmet oil. The Republic of Tea’s (stir fry) tea oil contains no sodium or cholesterol, less saturated fat than olive oil and is ideal for many cooking styles.

Tea Oil is great when used to saute meats, as a base for marinades, dressings and sauces or for tossing with pasta or vegetables adding a slightly sweet finish to the dish its used in. The oil is available in bottles of 17oz for $14.50 & 30oz for $22.50 on The Republic of Tea website here.
