Coffee On A Stick

Call it the coffee lover in me, but I can remember my very first Starbucks Frappuccino. Believe me it has been quite a few years ago, but from that very first taste I was hooked. The same goes for my first spoonful of Starbucks ice cream, it was literally love at first bite. My waistline is ever so thankful that I’ve somehow found restraint enough not to live off Starbucks Frappuccinos and ice cream alone. Surprisingly both are pretty rare treats for me. Frappuccino bars are a whole different story.

My grocery store recently started carrying Starbucks Frappuccino bars (also known to me as coffee on a stick), and let’s just say I’ve loved that store just a little bit more ever since. I’m hardly being dramatic, these ice cream bars really are that good. I’m so hooked on the Java Fudge Frappuccino bars I haven’t tried any of the other flavors. The bars are $4-5 for a box of 6, and available in mocha, java fudge and cafe vanilla. The java fudge bars are creamy coffee flavored bars with a fantasticly fudgy center. I took the first bite expecting a decent fudge flavor in the center, and was pleasantly surprised by such a large amount of deep, dark fudge. And the texture totally matched up with the flavor. The best part is that the ice cream bars are low fat, so we can enjoy our “coffee on a stick” without feeling pangs of guilt from all the fat and calories.
