Tea masters, practitioners, and the zen monks who have integrated this ceremony into their lives would not think they set out to shame us.

They would feel compassion for how far we are from the simplicity of mindful eating, drinking, and living.

Perhaps, if we feel shame, then that can be a gateway on a path to more mindfulness.

Tea is transformative, if you let it.</description>

					<description>The Japanese tea ceremony casts shame on the rest of us, the care that is taken when they make the tea is amazing. In the west we tend to rush things and never give a thought to how lucky we are that we have food. I saw the ceremony in London once.. it was amazing.
