7-Eleven says: Caffeine Okay, Cocaine No Way!
I’m constantly hearing something in the news that makes me say to myself, “What will they think of next?” But one beverage maker has gone a little too far in my opinion. ReDux Beverages of Las Vegas has created their own high-caffeine energy drink they’re calling Cocaine. The drink is sold in 8.4 oz cans and contains 280 milligrams of caffeine, which exceeds the amount of caffeine in a serving of Coca-Cola, a cup of coffee or even a Red Bull.
Contrary to the name and the packaging - red cans with the beverage name spelled out in what resembles white lines of powder, the drink contains no cocaine. ReDux Beverages markets their drink as, “The legal alternative.” And my question is, why name your drink after an illegal substance? Isn’t that sending out a bad message to children? Apparently I’m not the only one who doesn’t see a positive message behind naming an energy drink after an illegal drug because convenience-store operator 7-Eleven Inc. has ordered all their franchises to pull the drink from its shelves due to the name.

interesting idea but the stuff tastes like sewage looks like they were just looking to make a quick buck
