A Mug Full Of Good Cheer

Looking for a delicious drink to serve your guests this winter?  Or maybe just a drink you can treat yourself to that will leave you feeling warm and cozy when it’s cold outside.  As much as I dread winter and the cold weather it brings, I look forward to trying out new hot drink recipes and even coming up with my own.  I can’t take credit for this one though.  I found this recipe while checking out the new products on the Celestial Seasonings website.

For me this recipe makes 2 smallish servings or 1 good size mug.  The recipe can easily be expanded to serve mulitple people.

Good Cheer Tuscany Orange Spice Tea

2 Celestial Seasonings Tuscany Orange Spice tea bags
1 cup water
1/8 cup sugar, or more to suit taste
4 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 cup orange juice
Lemon slices

Bring water to a boil and pour one cup over tea bags. Steep 4 minutes; remove and squeeze tea bags. Pour tea into a saucepan, along with sugar, cloves, cinnamon and stir until hot. Add orange juice and heat thoroughly. Serve with lemon slices. Makes about 10 ounces. Serve hot.
