Artisan Coffee from Wineries

Costa de Ora Coffee from Grateful Palate

The Grateful Palate, home of the Bacon Of The Month Club, works with some of the world’s best winemakers to create custom coffee blends. Artisan techniques are used in the coffee making process and the freshly sealed bags are stamped with their wine labels.

It really is a unique concept. I don’t know if the coffee beans grown in the wine fields are better then coffee grown elsewhere, but it sure is fun! And my co-workers all raved about the quality of the coffee. I ordered the Costa de Oro Blend from Gary Burke which is stamped with a Pinot Noir label. The back of the package reads:

The coffee beans used to create this blend are South American, Central American, Indonesian and African.

The Costa de Oro Blend has refined elegance, power and sublime complexity. Think of a gorgeous, luxurious, but understated gold brooch. Think of balanced notes of chocolate, citrus, spice with a rich roasted aroma.

Fifteen various winemaker blends alongside the Grateful Palate house blend is offered on their website. A Coffee of the Month Club is available and would be a wonderful, and generous, gift for your coffee-drinking friends. An annual subscription is $149.95, plus shipping and handling. Many of these coffees are also sold as a part of Grateful Palate’s combo and gift packages.
