I work a block away and visit subtle tea nearly every day. Everyone is so friendly, the environment is welcoming, and the tea is fantastic! I am, however, addicted to the iced soy mocha. They shake it with ice in a martini shaker, so the whole concoction is uniformly cold--a rarity among tea and coffee bars. They're way too awesome to be the next starbucks, thank goodness. Yay Tim and Todd!

While visiting New York I stopped in and found an oasis. I could have stayed all day. The tea drinks were out of this world and the ambiance made me vow to return every trip.

I guess the abundance of tea merchants is a good tradeoff for having to live in the city. The pickings are kind of slim out here in the heartland.
