Starbucks Price Hike Coming
Starbucks Corporation announced earlier this week that they will be raising the prices of their coffees and other freshly made drinks across their US stores by 9 cents this month. The reason? Rising costs for dairy products, energy and fuel. The price hike will go into effect on July 31 and company spokesman Brandon Borrman said it will apply to their coffees, lattes, frozen Frappuccinos and some tea-based drinks, including fruit and tea blends made behind the counters in all of their domestic company-operated stores.
Starbucks’ last price increase (of 5 cents) was a year and a half ago, in October of 2006. So tell us, will the 9 cent price increase keep you from indulging in your java jolt?
