Review: Godiva Chocolate Creme Coffee Pods

If you use a Senseo coffeemaker, then you probably have made your way through various flavors and types of coffee pods on the market like I have. Fortunately, there are new flavors coming out all the time, including from Godiva. Since I love Godiva and my Senseo, I was happy to try both new Godiva flavored pods. The pods, which come in packages of 16, are available in two flavors: creme brulee, and chocolate creme.  Up for today: Godiva Chocolate Crème Coffee pods.

My husband raved over the taste of this when he added a splash of half and half, a bit of sugar and a dollop of whipped cream. In fact, he said that serving method rivaled his favorite commercial latte. The strength and flavor were definitely more robust than other pods.

You pay more for the Godiva brand and get fewer pods in the package than the standard Senseo coffees.  These retail for anywhere between $5.84 to almost $9 per package. The best price I’ve seen is on Amazon where a three-pack of Godiva Chocolate Crème Coffee pods works out to about $5.48 per package. If you combine it with other savings offers (such as the Bill Me Later offer, or the subscribe offer) you can save more.

I was pleasantly surprised with the strength and strong chocolate notes of this coffee. Although those aren’t really my bag (I much prefer caramel flavored coffee to chocolate), my husband loves chocolate-y coffees. He liked this a lot and has been having it as a treat after dinner or in the mornings.
