Holiday Break

Thank you so much for making our site a part of your regular routine.  Without you, we wouldn’t be here.  We will be taking a short break to celebrate the holidays with our family and friends, and will resume regular postings on Monday, January 5th (the official kick-off of the annual Food Blog Awards!).
Happy holidays!

Health Resin Mastihas from the Cosmic Greek Christmas Tree!

Somedays I just want to completely escape the holiday subway rush,  stones of slippery sidewalks frightfully cold and escape to Greece! Other days I want to just explore the city, hopping and shopping, especially New York’s magical Orchard Street, which is my New York mythology book!  Myths of the 1800’s old Bowery B-hoy’s days dressed […]

SerendipiTea is one of the original pioneers of tea, here in the US of unique blends.  SerendipiTea’s founder. The late Tomislav Podreka’s contribution to America’s renaissance of tea drinking is profound. His unselfish, enthusiastic sharing of his tea knowledge through articles and classes are substantial. SerendipiTea has carried on through his lovely wife Linda Villano, […]

Christmas is Here at Starbucks

Even though my hands down favorite Frappuccino from Starbucks remains the dearly departed Honey Frappuccino, I can be slightly consoled by the fact that the holiday flavors are back.
Peppermint Mocha Twist
Gingerbread Latte
Espresso Truffle
Mmm, the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino is divine, and the perfect way to celebrate the craziness of the season.  Get ‘em before they’re gone.

Cooking with Coffee: Java Crusted New York Steak

I don’t drink coffee, but I certainly have no problems cooking with it.  In fact, one of my favorite go-to cookie recipes uses espresso - good stuff, and perfect for holiday cookie trays.
Recently, on an episode of Guy Fieri’s show Off the Hook, he made a Java Crusted New York Steak with a Stout Glaze.  […]

Hand Blown Fairy Tale Teapot for the Holidays

I have a serious weakness for glass tea wares. I have treasured them always, yet I must admit I have not always treated them as such. Thank goodness new and improved borocilicate glass is pretty darn sturdy.
If you are having a day where you would like the royalty of tea to rescue you from your […]
