Green Tea Boosts Brain Power?

mf405.jpgI’m not a fan of coffee.  Or tea.  Really just hot drinks altogether.  However, after this recent news from a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, I just may have to rethink my stance.  After studying the effects of 1,003 Japanese men and women, the study found that drinking just two cups of green tea a day may help to reduce your risk of cognitive decline by 54%.  Yes, a whopping 54%.  How about just one cup a day?  The results are still quite impressive at 38%.

Previous studies have shown that properties like polyphenols that are present in green tea have protected animals against destroying diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, but this is the first study to show the link in humans.  Sounds like the perfect reason to drink up.
