Hand Blown Fairy Tale Teapot for the Holidays

I have a serious weakness for glass tea wares. I have treasured them always, yet I must admit I have not always treated them as such. Thank goodness new and improved borocilicate glass is pretty darn sturdy.
If you are having a day where you would like the royalty of tea to rescue you from your […]

Winter Cozy Vest for Your Mug

Hot Cuppa’s include “Mug sizes” too? No need for your ceramic cuppa’s to go un-adorned, for Etsy’s Artisans have gotcha covered.  I find myself doing elaborate rituals of warming cups with expensive boiling Spring H20 and running out of water…. meanwhile the tea and coffee still gets cold.
This cozy is designed by clever “Right Brain […]

David’s Luxury Tea de Xocolates

The time for luxury with the sparkly season has arrived.  I chanced upon Xocolatl de David chocolate company whilst priding myself on how few desserts I had during Thanksgiving. Xocolatl de David seems pretty mad cap with his chocolate laboratory making candied bacon and dark chocolate truffles. These tea xocolates seems fairly tame for this mad scientist, […]

Thanksgiving and thank goodness for our pets! Dogs decked out in bow ties had high tea at Oxo Tower on London’s South Bank to launch the Tea Party campaign for The Blue Cross.  “This dapper dog, Romi, a Hungarian Vizeli, demonstrates the manners of an English socialite at the […]

Kalahari Rooibos Magic Red Tissanes

Someone was kind enough to send me an enormous amount of Kalahari Rooibos tissanes. Camellia Sinensis pure leaf drinkers often turn their noses up at other brews. I happen to spend a lot of time with folks that can’t be bothered to brew up fresh leaves, no matter what good friends of mine they are. […]

Fumiko Sasaki Robinson

Fumiko Sasaki’s life is steeped in tea. A good amount of tea in her blood, her Great Grandfather Sokeian Sasaki: founder of The First Zen Institute of America was the Zen Master who taught Alan Watts and her great grandmother, the daughter of a Tea Ceremony Master. For over two decades she has been blending and consulting on taste, treatment, and purchase of teas for many of the major tea distributors, retailers, and houses such as Wild Lily Tea Room, Takashima, T Salon, In Pursuit of Tea, and Whole Foods of New York City as well as a specialist in rare Darjeeling tea varietals. She is currently working with many lush Darjeeling Gardens in continuing efforts to carry unique varietals here in the U.S.A. In her early career in the world before the espresso was on the map. Fumiko co-founded the original and now legendary Onyx Cafe. Home to artists and poets alike with the late John Leech. The Onyx Cafe was one of the first Beaux Arts style artists salons to serve up serious moka and tea drinks. Fumiko's passion for the art of cupping fine coffees and teas has led her to become a "confirmed" spot of tea and coffee lover! Please feel free to email with your questions and new products. Thanks!
