The Civil-La-Tea tearoom serves the most colorful teas with unique ingredients. The Jenny Wade Jewels tea-tangerine, freesia, roses and hibiscius, Union Blue Lady tea-coconut, kiwi, and strawberries, Victorian Garden Tea- rolled green tea, rose petals and lavender, and Moon Over Savannah tea-black tea with passion fruit, strawberry, mango, and strawberry. The Southern spirit is sweet raspberry blend, the Stonewall Jackson is a brisk lemon tea, and the Southern Belle is a peach brandy tea served at tea parties and events.

These are a few themed teas served at the Civil-La-Tea tearoom in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Themed teas are offered with the tea sandwiches, scones and various desserts. The teas reflect Civil War history, the flowers, colors, and the people. There are over 50 different blends of tea. The tearoom is a Civil War era home in historic downtown Gettysburg. The owner, Pat Hartman decided to turn her small craft boutique into a tearoom because her guests were always asking for tea. Pat and her chef brainstorm together creating new tea themes. The Blue Lady Union is a new tea and so is the Victorian Garden tea.

I liked the Victorian Garden tea and I visualized myself sitting in a garden with a full moon. I smelled the roses and lavender from the garden. The black tea was rich and the lavender and rose petals were sweet complimenting each other. From the peach cabbage rose wallpaper decorating the tearoom to the enchanting balcony, images of old plantation homes and bright moonolit nights come to mind. I felt like a real Southern belle enjoying tea and the real Southern hospitality I received from the hostess, Pat Hartman and her staff. The Civil-La-Tea tearoom is a rare gem among many other tea rooms.
